Circa 25mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked H & W Towell, 10 Argyll Place, London, W. Other Ranks quality button, with some wear but still a scarce button and a scarce retailer / maker.
This pattern of button was worn by Officers and men of the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry c.1914.
