Large Pattern BAYS 2nd Dragoon Guards Brass Shoulder Title on Backing Plate
With two original hexagonal lugs to the reverse and still secured to its original vented backing plate, some signs of service wear and could do with a light clean. Worn from 1921 onwards by other ranks. Circa 4.6cm wide and 1.6cm tall excluding backing plate. Scarce.

Rare Gilt South Gloucestershire Light Infantry Militia Officers Large Pattern Button, 1855 - 1881
Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked C. Smith & Son, 5 New Burlington Street, London to reverse. Gilt very bright and in fabulous condition. A scarce back mark also.
Ripley lists also the gilt version in his book Buttons of the British Army 1855 - 1970 (No 462 refers).
