The Rifle Brigade Prince Consort's Own Field Service Cap White Metal Badge, theatre made
An unusal die cast post 1927 white metal example, looks to have been silver plated. Two original long loops to the reverse. Circa 3cm tall. Not much detail on the battle honours through wear but also because of the lack of definition from being cast. Scarce.
K&K Vol 2 no 2019 refers (but this is the smaller F.S. cap pattern).

Original British Cap badge slider only ( from York & Lancaster Regiment Cap Badge) - stamped Stratton Birmingham - one for the badge historian!
This came off a damaged York & Lancs Regiment Bi-metal Cap Badge, long since moved on as a damaged item and I failed to notice at the time that the detached slider has stamped on the inside (unusual in itself) - Stratton Birmingham. Anyway, the slider is of interest to those collecting interesting marks. It is original and the naming is over two lines and the letters are roughly 1.5m... read more

Scarce 25 Year National Savings Medal award on card of issue - Essex
Card in poor "as found" condition, but named to Mr C.A. Simmons of Squirrels Heath County Junior School of the Eastern Region (The school is located in Romford, Essex and still there today). The savings badge is in great condition with what looks to be a silver plated 25 year bar. This suggests a saver who started in the 1940s who was awarded a bar in the mid 1960s. read more
