Circa 23mm in diameter, fixed shank (bent over), maker marked P & S Firmin 153 Strand London. Queen Victoria's Body Guard, Scotland's Royal Company of Archers (RCA) pre 1901 as QVC crown. Sadly some black staining to the gilt finish otherwise in very good condition. A scarce Scottish button.

Unusual heavy die cast unmarked silver voided badge of officer quality with stout original pin fittings to the reverse. The design as per the Helmet Plate Centre but in one metal and finely cast. Circa 4.1cms in diameter. Any definitive information as to when it was worn would be welcome.

This is a collar badge for the 85th Infantry Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, the regiment also known as the Nova Scotia Highlanders. The badge reads CANADA NOVA SCOTIA HIGHLANDERS 85 SIOL NA FEAR FEARAIL (the breed of manly men).

All in good condition with original slider and with single braising / sweat/ expansion hole to the reverse of the acorn on the cap badge (Gaylor confirms a brass WW1 economy version (see item listed above). This pattern worn until 1922. Shoulder title with hexagonal lugs and the gilding metal collar badge with two original loops. All in good condition. A pleasing set.
