A rare original pre First World War period Scottish 'Veteran Reserve Dumbarton lapel badge'; oval gilt blue enamel title surround, turreted shield bearing Elephant to voided centre, the reverse impressed with maker's details J.R. Gaunt London. A few enamel flaw marks otherwise in good condition complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, gilt finish remains bright. Circa 2.8cms tall.
