A quality heavy die cast glengarry badge with four riveted separately applied gilt fittings. Two original silvered loops to the reverse. Some dark toning to silver plate and dulling to gilt from service wear otherwise in very good condition. Circa 5.2cms tall.

Black swan on a white disc on a black square facing to the right. Removed from uniform. Glue to reverse which has slightly stained some of the white threads to the front. Worn circa 1955 - 57.

Post WW2 / Cold War Era Printed 4th Infantry Division Formation Sign Designation Flash
Removed from uniform, a printed example in good used condition, colours bright.
In April 1956 the 11th Armoured Division in BAOR was converted to an infantry role and to be a reincarnation of the WW2 4th Infantry Division and took on the sign previously used by this formation but with the red circle now on a black as opposed to a white ground.

Removed from uniform. A glue patch to the reverse otherwise in good condition. The sign depicts King Arthur's sword Excalibur, , which was not surprisingly mainly composed of battalions from West Country regiments.
