Connaught Rangers ( 88th & 94th Foot) Other Ranks Victorian QVC Issue Gilding Metal Cap Badge
A pleasing example with two original dark toned loops to the reverse (some twisting and opening to these). With voided harp strings and in overall very good condition. Hard to come by as this pattern only worn 1896 - 1902, when it was replaced with a King's Crown. The Regiment was disbanded in 1922.

As worn from 1903 - 1908 by other ranks, a blackened gilding metal cap badge with two original lugs to the reverse and worn with a red cloth silhouette backing on either the SD cap or the slouch hat. Some service wear to black finish which gives it an attractive patina.

This one a bit of a marriage with the T looking like it has been neatly cut from another shoulder title and a mix of loop fixings, all in good condition.

A large badge with original horseshoe fitting, gilt bright (a few small age spots), enamel intact and in very good condition. Maker marked Fattorini & Sons, Bradford House, Birmingham to reverse. Circa 43mm tall. Blue ring enamel variety. Examples with green and red enamel rings are known, perhaps signifying different ranks. Scarce.

Staybrite version in gold and silver colour, original slider, two-part riveted construction, slider maker marked JR Gaunt London. Slight signs of service wear but otherwise in very good condition. Worn 1952 - 1959, when replaced by the Fusilier Brigade badge. A scarce badge.
