A pre 1881 other ranks button for the 9th Regt of Foot. Circa 18mm in diameter, grooved back with shank, maker marked E&Ws /
Patent. Some slight loss of detail from polishing otherwise in very good condition and a scarce Irish maker. I have left the pipe cleaner on for the shank is fixed and difficult to display on a card without some means of attaching, but easily removed. See also... read more

78th Ross-shire Buffs forage cap pre 1881, modified
A 78th Ross-shire Buffs yellow brass die struck forage cap badge with three dark toned loops to the reverse but with the top number '78' removed.
This pattern was worn prior to 1881, but this one has had the '78' which was located at the top of the scroll Assaye neatly removed. The originally the badge would have been 57x55 mm but is now 57 mm wide and 42mm tall. Perhaps modi... read more

A scarce silver plated UK made pattern with two silvered loops to the reverse.
The Calcutta Scottish was a regiment of volunteers of Scottish descent raised in 1914 as an infantry regiment of the British Indian Army. A heavy die cast glengarry badge with three tabbed separately applied gilt fittings. Two original copper loops to the reverse. Some service wear, original double thickness tartan badge backing (MacKenzie Tartan (HLI sett)). The badge is circa 5cms tall. I would have said official issue, not private purchase.

T / 4 / Grenade / NF Three Part Brass Shoulder Title
4th Territorial Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers three part brass shoulder title, as worn from 1908 - 1922. Some polishing to flame of grenade otherwise in good condition. As the lugs are all present but not uniform across all three items, it is a bit of a marriage. The 'NF' has some stains otherwise in good condition.
