Scotswood Newcastle Northumberland WW1 Tribute Medal named to E. Edgar Royal Garrison Artillery ( RGA ). 100 such medals were presented in June 1919.

It depicts the old Scotswood Chain Bridge with a dove and sun burst above, which is Christian religious iconography representing the Pentecost (the Holy Spirit of Jesus, love and peace) and a laurel spray below.

In very good condition with no damage to the enamel, with two original copper lugs to the reverse. Carries the Battle Honour "Relief of Ladysmith " which signifies 1906 pattern onwards. Worn until 1959. Circa 3cm tall and 3.2cm wide.
