As worn on the pill box or peaked cap by many Volunteer Artillery Other Ranks across the Kingdom, a white metal grenade with seven flames with two original toned loops to the reverse. Circa 4.1cms tall. Lovely item. Circa 1860 - 1902. One sees the larger ten and fourteen flame versions much more often. There is also a Grenadier Guards style pattern with 17 flames but in white metal.

This one has the slight central die flaw that runs vertically down the centre of the mine as found on some original examples.
