A die stamped example with two original lugs as opposed to a slider a maker marked with an original JR Gaunt Tablet. Often mistaken for an economy badge, but believed to have been independently commissioned as opposed to War Office issued for one of the Territorial Battalions of this Regiment. Scarce. A matched facing pair of bronze OSD collar badges of two part construction with two original loops to the reverse of each. Some minor wear to bronze finish on high points and some verdigris to the reverse, but in very good condition. A pre 1922 pattern issue without the loop in the tail. These are also Griffins rather than the later adopted Dragoons. Worn 1902 - 1922.
