A large die struck plate with three original loops (some twisting) and what appears to be the original and correct red felt badge backing cloth. Worn on an 1878 pattern military helmet plate. Circa 10.5cms tall. Black finish in very good condition, you won't find a better one! Rare.

Made from unmarked nickel silver with a black / darkened oxidised finish. With original and functional pin fitting. The design consists of the Royal Crest (QEII crown) superimposed on crossed swords in the centre, around which is inscribed ‘Army Trained Nurse’, followed by a Wreath of laurel round the edge of the badge. Victorian East Africa - The Uganda Rifles Officers Gilt Brass Helmet Cap Badge
In very good condition with two original dark toned loops to the reverse. Circa 5.8cm tall. Gilt has dulled but otherwise in excellent condition and only worn 1895 - 1902. From 1902 onwards they became a King's African Rifles Battalion. There would only have been a handful of officers. Rare.

Die cast, voided central oval which contains the Hampshire rose, two original sliver plated loops (n-s) to the reverse. A large rare solid and heavy die cast darkened silver plated officers cap badge with crowned Maltese cross, large QVC crown, pre 1901. Circa 7cms tall. original stout pin and C clasp, reverse engraved attractively with the units ID "VRC" (Victorian Rifles of Canada). Some light polishing to centre bugle and minor service wear otherwise in very good condition. A real stunner. Rare.
