Indian Army - 10th Baluch Officers Silver Headdress Cap Badge

An Indian made cap badge, finely cast and stamped "silver" with two original silver loops and maker marked "Manikrai & Sons". Circa 3.4cms tall. Scarce. King's Crown. The badge was actually not approved until 1945 and worn until 1956 (source: p66 MHS Special Bulletin 2022).

Die struck example with original and functional pin fittings. Circa 28mm in diameter. Minor service wear otherwise in very good condition. Worn circa 1939 - 1962.

The design is of a springbok head tracing left within a circle inscribed with the initial letters S.A.M.N.S. (English) and S.A.M.V.D. (Afrikaans). As worn on the coat lapel.

A pickled brass collar badge with two original loops to the reverse. Maker marked Geo H Lees & Co and dated 1915. In good condition, some service wear and slight loss of detail from polishing.

Die struck and voided example with some minor servce wear and with two original loops to the reverse. The earlier pattern with the garter strap tip to bottom of circlet. This pattern worn from 1913 - 1922 only. Circa 5.9cms tall.

Africa - The Royal Rhodesia Regiment Blackened Brass Cap Badge - QEII Crown Metal Cap

Two of two original loops (some service wear) and it has its retaining strip to hold in place the red velvet backing disc. Queen's crown and worn circa 1957 to 1972. Circa 4.5cm tall. Some wear to black finish on the high points.
