Circa 18mm in diameter, silver plated, fixed shank (slightly bent over), blank reverse, small ding to right of crown. Otherwise in good worn condition and rare. Worn until 1808 when they were absorbed in to the Local Militia.

Circa 17mm in diameter, domed open backed gilt button with original shank, blank reverse. Gilt bright (some minor wear) and very sharp detail - rare. Worn 1808-1815. Scottish Local Militia units absorbed many of the smaller local volunteer units in 1808.

In very good condition, slight wear to gilt finish otherwise in very good condition with no damage to the enamel. Horseshoe fitting which is stamped with the issue number "2838". Scarce.
