The Royal Fusiliers Regiment (City of London Regiment) (7th Foot) - Small Pattern Other Ranks Brass Cap Badge

A Victorian issue cap / collar badge with two original brass toned loops to the reverse. Churchill confirms that this small pattern badge, which was also worn as a collar, was latterly fitted with a slider for wear on the Brodrick Cap 1898-1905 (p42 of the "History of The British Army Infantry Collar Badge" refers). Some polishing to highpoints otherwise in good condition.

Repeats offical messages from Kitchener, Buckingham Palace and the House of Lords on the news of Boer surrender at end of May 1902.
