Removed from uniform, original paper backing. Worn from 1929 until 1953. Also worn unofficially on the Field Service Cap. This pattern with hilts incorrectly placed on the Seax, as noted by Michael Wood in his impressive work The Badges and Insignia of the Essex Yeomanry.

A semi-die struck example with two original blades, fold in such a way as to form two loops for fixing (opening these is not recommended). Introduced in 1915 in bronze and worn until at least the end of the Great War.
