Bronze Star, six-pointed with original suspender ring and length of original silk ribbon. The obverse design bears the 'GRI VI' cypher, ornate, in a circular centrepiece surrounded by an edged band bearing text: 'THE 1939-1945 STAR' surmounted by a crown. WW2 Full Size Original Silver Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (CVSM)

The Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (CVSM) with was awarded to Canadian service members who served in the Second World War for at least 18 months. The medal itself is silver and circular, featuring seven marching figures representing various service branches, with the inscription "1939 CANADA 1945 VOLUNTARY SERVICE VOLONTAIRE".
