The full title was worn from January 1944 (ACI 1593 dated 30 October 1943). However, this looks like a post war example.

Royal Army Service Corps (RASC) George V (GV) pattern brass cap badge with backing

Original slider to reverse with correct blue backing cloth for wear on the beret. The GV RASC badges are scarce. It is a mystery as to why this should have be such a hard badge to find; the assumption being that earlier non Royal title cap badges were to be used up first.
