WW2 (Royal Army Service Corps) RASC Printed Air Despatch Formation Sign Patch Flash Designation Badge
An early WW2 printed removed from uniform example of the left facing yellow " Dakota " on a blue background, worn by Air Despatch units of the RASC. This is the version with the truncated tail fin. Side and bottom edges folded over but looks to be in very good condition.

Die cast in sterling silver - The star is in the same die strike as the rest of the wing. Circa 4cms (1 1/2 inches) across in size. Maker marked on the reverse side with a logo and "G1", also marked "STERLING". There are two clutch back posts on the reverse side with pinch type of friction keepers. 1950s onwards.
