At the time of issue of his SWB he was serving with X Medium Trench Mortar Battery allocated to the 17th Northern Division (indicated by the 'X17' on his SWB card index). Circa 23mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked Jennens & Co. London. Gilt slightly dulled and light traces of glue to reverse (removed from display board). Rare as only worn from 1897 - 1902 with a Victorian Crown.
