WW2 Royal Air Force Civilian Workers Brass Lapel Badge

A scarce Royal Air Force badge worn to identify civilians undertaking official work on RAF stations etc. Oval, manufactured by J.R. Gaunt of London in gilt metal with a button hole rear fixing. Approximately 32 x 25mm. These badges were individually numbered, this one being a relatively low number at '14937'.

A good brass territorial Cadet shoulder title to the 5th Battalion , The Essex Regiment .Three original loops to the reverse. There is also a variant with the C to the top rather than the 5 as is the case here. Worn from 1916 - 1925 only.
