'Essex / 20' 'PVC Blown' Shoulder Title - Post WW2 2nd Phase Home Guard

In good unissued condition. T shaped with the usual rubberized mesh backing. Worn below a generic home guard shoulder title.

Similar to No 4136 in BoBD (Jon Mills), who describes these as being made from PVC (poly-vinyl chloride) using a process of 'blowing-on' the white letters to a special background.

Removed from uniform with one largish nibble above the 'y' in 'army' otherwise in good condition.

Worn from their creation in 1947 until the early 1960s, when 'School' was dropped from the title.

Post independence the 3rd Gorkha Rifles remains in existence as part of the Indian Army and consists of five battalions. This is presumably indicative of their third battalion. Slight fold mark otherise in good unissued condition.
