Circa 21mm in diameter (this was the largest of three sizes worn), fixing shank, maker marked JR Gaunt & Son Ltd, London, Eng. Some loss of detail from polishing and gilt mainly back to brass , but a scarce button and only worn y officers of the Regiment.

Circa 25.5mm in diameter, scalloped edge with the monogram FMRV, fixed shank and maker marke C& J Weldon, London. Looks to be of Other Ranks quality. In very good condition with sharp detail.
Formed in 1860, they were renamed as the 1st Fifeshire Light Horse Volunteer Corps in 1870. In 1908 became The Fifeshire & Forfarshire Yeomanry.
