A very attractive officer quality large brass button, 26mm in diameter, fixed shank, backmarked with maker's details J R Gaunt & Son Ltd, London, Engd. Good detail with minor wear to highpoints.

The 1st Punjab Regiment was a regiment of the British Indian Army from 1922 to 1947. It was transferred to the Pakistan Army on Partition of India in 1947.

24th Lancers Large Gilt Button, 26mm in diameter, fixed shank. Just the words Gaunt, London in a circle. steel back. Gaunt is weakly struck and G and T almost missing.

Unidentified pewter button, but possibly standing for Pompiers Local Municipale ( PLM ), a local volunteer fireman. Circa 21mm in diameter, made from pewter and with original integral shank to the reverse. Maker marked , AM & Cie (AM & Co) - Paris. Poor condition with some nibbles to the rope boarder.
