WW1 New Zealand 11th (Taranaki Rifles) Regiment Cap / Collar

WW1 New Zealand 11th (Taranaki Rifles) Regiment Cap / Collar

Cap and collars were same size. This one has been converted to a sweetheart badge with a strong pin fitting. It also appears to have been gold plated (unmarked). A very attractive item.

New Zealand Volunteers QVC General Issue Brass 1878 Pattern Helmet Plate, 1882 - 1895

In stunning condition with two of two dark toned loops to the reverse. Looks like unissued stock. The bugle and garter pattern was replaced in 1895 with the plate with four stars. Scarce WW1 21st New Zealand Reinforcements to the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force Brass Cap Badge

Scarce WW1 21st New Zealand Reinforcements to the 1st New Zealand Expeditionary Force Brass Cap Badge

Artistically for me at least the most attractively designed badge of the series. The use of the tail feathers to spell out 'New Zealand' was simply inspired. With two original hexagonal lugs (as typical of this series). Good sharp detail and circa 3.2cm tall and 5cm wide. The collar badges were of a different design (see my item 61639).
