WW1 90th Punjabis Other Ranks Pagri Badge

A large and impressive other ranks quality pagri badge in cast white metal, looks to have been silver-plated, depicting a crowned quoit with a seated Chinthern to voided centre, '90' below and a scroll 'Punjabis', stout pin back with original fittings. Circa 7.2cms tall. Worn circa 1903-1922.

Became the 2nd Battalion, 8th Punjab Regiment in 1922.

The Ajmer Regiment was an Indian Army Regiment raised during the Second World War. A very pleasing example theatre made badge with original slider. In very good condition with sharp detail. Circa 39mm tall. Scarce.

The 1st and 2nd Battalions of the Ajmer Regiment were converted from the 26th and 27th Battalions, 4th Bombay Grenadiers, and disbanded after the war.

This pattern of cypher relating to George V and as worn 1911 - 1935, a large die cast gilt cap badge with two original lugs to reverse, UK made. Gilt bright. Circa 4.9cms tall. As per item 5GR No D47 as illustrated in "insignia of the 5th Royal Gurkha Rifles (Frontier Force) as published by the Gurkha Museum. This pattern was worn from 1943 - 1947 on the general service cap and beret. Four battalions raised in WW2.

Indian Army Post Independence - Maratha Light Infantry Cast Brass Shoulder Title

A one piece shoulder title in cast brass with two loops to the reverse, one is a replacement afixed with a fair amount of solder otherwise in very good condition. As worn from 1950 with the Maratha shield and crossed swords to the centre of the bugle. Prior to 1947, the Regiment was known as the Mahratta Light Infantry.
