Die struck in gilding metal with original slider for wear with the Wolseley / white foreign service helmet. Circa 3.3cms in wide and 2.9cms tall with original crimped slider to reverse. As worn on the pill box or peaked cap by many Volunteer Artillery Other Ranks across the Kingdom, a white metal grenade with seventeen flames (Grenadier Guards pattern but in white metal) with two original toned loops to the reverse, slightly squashed down but still functional. Circa 4.5cms tall. Lovely item. Circa 1860 - 1902.
