KSLI King's Shropshire Light Infantry Officers Field Service Cap Star Badge

A small field service cap silvered facetted star of some quality, of two part die cast construction, the circlet bearing SHROPSHIRE; dark green velvet cloth centre bearing silver strung bugle with a monogramed KLI between the cords. Two original long dark toned loops. Circa 33mm wide x 32mm tall. A similar badge was worn on the Forage cap, but larger and with a gilt circlet, until 1902. Superb and rare.
