WW2 British Forces Kings Badge for Loyal Service, Normal and Miniature Patterns
Introduced in 1941, circa 26mm and 18mm in diameter respectively struck in white metal, the smaller one has more of a chrome finish. The King's Badge was awarded to British Forces personnel who had been invalided out of the services during WW2 and were entitled to a war disablement pension. They were both unnamed and unnumbered. Home Front - WVS Civil Defence Women's Voluntary Service Civil Defence Pin Badge, 1953 - 1966
A scarce post 1952 WVS Civil Defence chromium plate and enamel badge bearing a Queen's Crown, the reverse with maker's details "Marples & Beasley, Birmingham". Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example. Please excuse the flash, the badge is very shiney. The WVS became the Women's Royal Voluntary Services in 1966. Circa 2.9cm tall.

Post WW2 Civil Defence Corps, Lady Volunteer Home Front Badge by Firmin, 1949 - 1952
An original gilt and enamel badge, King's crown above a circlet with 'Civil Defence Corps' on blue enamel ground, enclosing the Royal Lion of England, the reverse with maker's details "Firmin London.". Very good condition, original pin fitting, no damage to the enamel. Circa 2.6cm tall.
