WW2 Era Royal Engineers Metal & Celluloid Matchbox Cover

A nice quality piece made from a metal core with a coloured celluloid covering with the badge for the Royal Engineers front and back with King George VI cypher to the middle, the spine marked Royal Engineers. Measuring just under 2.5 inches long it comes in very good condition with some mild marking to the surface. Empty matchbox which it contains is for display only.

A small gilt brass and enamel lapel badge as worn by this civilian organisation involved in the quality control of the aviation manufacturing industry during WW2.
