The Victorian pattern cap badge with two original dark toned loops to the reverse. Some signs of service wear - one foot of the white metal star slightly lifted from its securing tab on the brass scroll - and especially to the loops, but in good overall condition. As worn until 1902 when the badge was corrected to include Nottinghamshire.

A very good striking with all the fiddly bits present and correct and two original dark toned loops to the reverse. Worn circa 1897 to 1901 with a Victorian crown and to 1921 with a King's Imperial Crown. The badge changed to a new pattern with the scroll altered to read "The Loyal Regiment".

An early Victorian / Edwardian large pattern cap badge with three original loops to the reverse. The letters "KSLI" to the centre of a strung bugle horn. The left hand loop noticeably longer than the other two, This appears to be the case on all early KSLI cap badges. In good condition and scarce.
