A scarce ORIGINAL circa 1939 to 1946 period 'Entertainments National Service Association bronze cap badge'; designed by 'Sir Edwin Lutyens PRA' in the form of a stylized inverted triangle with central initial 'E' with NSA to each arm, the reverse retaining original pin fitting. Very good condition although a stock number has been painted to the reverse. Circa 2.5cms tall.

A pre WW1 Veteran Reserve Surrey home front badge, the reverse impressed with "REG No 570574" (a registered design of 1910). Very good condition, complete with original large round buttonhole fixing. Circa 4.8cms in height. In good condition.

WW2 Middle East / East African Theatre - E (English Speaker) Dark Blue Embroidered E on Khaki Drill Cloth Panel Proficiency / Trade Badge
A similar pattern but on a red disc was worn by Indian Troops, but given this is sewn on KD most likely worn by native troops with a good command of English in the Middle East / North African or East African campaigns. Panel is square and 5cms x 5cms. In good condition with some glue marks / paper stuck to reverse. Scarce.

Removed from uniform, in good condition and colours still bright. Worn until 1941 only.
With the change of ARP to CD in 1941, the ARP badge was dropped in favour of a yellow CD on blue/white fabric.

11th (North Devon) Regiment of Foot (Devonshire) Officers Large Pattern Coatee Button, pre 1855
Circa 21mm in diameter, an early pattern button without rim, the Roman numerals XI and smaller as worn on coattee from 1830 - 1855. Gilt dulled otherwise in very good condition with sharp detail. FIxed shank and maker marked Firmin & Sons, 153 The Strand, London. This pattern of naming used only between 1835 and 1849. Scarce.

Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked Firmin & Sons 153 The Strand and 13 Conduit Street London. Gilt Bright, sharp detail and in very good condition. This pattern of naming only used from 1856- 1860. Scarce.

Circa 25mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked C Pitt & Co, 50 St Martin's Lane, London. Gilt in excellent condition, the photos do not do it justice. A fascinating design as it bears three significant battle honours in the circlet, 'Gibraltar, Egypt, Maida'. Pre 1881.
