RWF (Royal Welch Fusiliers) Other Ranks Resin Fur Cap Grenade Adapted for Pioneers Apron
A resin cast and solid workshop made full size grenade with loops for wear on the pioneers apron. The RWF were still wearing this badge on the pioneer's apron into the 1990s.

A post 1920 pattern (Welch spelling) of two part construction, with original slider to the reverse. A white metal mounted device. A very flat example (very little dome in the grenade - see photo). Some polishing to tips of feathers otherwise in good condition.

An unusual and rare find as depicted in Westlake. An informed source with provenance has recently confirmed this was worn by 2nd Battalion between the wars. With three original hexagonal loops to the reverse. One small fracture of the string on the right close to the grenade but hard to notice and otherwise in good condition. Circa 4.7cm tall and 4.4cm wide.
