Queens Own Hussars (QOH) NCOs Chromed Arm Badge

A light allow metal chromed example with three original blades to the reverse (folded over), but in unissued / mint condition. It would have been worn on a Garter blue backing cloth, the blades pushed through this and then the badge backing sewn to the uniform sleeve to avoid holing the sleeve. The QEII version was introduced in the late 1960s. Worn until amalgamation in 1993.

Scarce Edwardian Issue EDVII 18th Hussars Bi-metal Collar Badges, worn circa 1902-1904 only

A pair of bi-metal colour badges, not an exact colour match but in all other respects they display well together and each has two original dark toned lugs to the reverse of each. King's crown and only worn for a couple of years (1902 - 1904). This regiment had a rapidly changing series of cap badges post 1904 until it settled on the all white metal pattern. A large and impressive brass cast badge in the shape of a 'Cheel' (Kite) facing right with wings outstretched, perched on a scroll with the inscription 'MARWAR', the ancient name for the kingdom of Jodhpur. 7th Queen's Own Hussars NCO's White Metal Arm Badge on Correct Scarlet Felt Backing

As worn until 1958, this is in white metal with two original loops NS to the reverse (one bent slightly downwards) with scarlet felt backing. The scarlet backing was granted at the request of the Commanding Officer who was perturbed that the Regiment might be mistaken for the Army Catering Corps because both had similar shaped badges.
