WW2 Economy Plastic General Service Buttons

A useful batch of 10 x British Army GENERAL SERVICE BUTTONS. This batch consists of 6 large (25mm) buttons and 4 medium buttons (19mm) - made from a type light brown plastic, fixed shanks and blank reverses. Large Pattern BAYS 2nd Dragoon Guards Brass Shoulder Title on Backing Plate

With two original hexagonal lugs to the reverse and still secured to its original vented backing plate, some signs of service wear and could do with a light clean. Worn from 1921 onwards by other ranks. Circa 4.6cm wide and 1.6cm tall excluding backing plate. Scarce.

Yeoman Warders of the Tower of London original postcard, postally used 1919

A pre WW1 image judging by their medals, but post Boer War. Wearing undress uniform, their faces and medals are all reasonably clear. Pre WW1 Irish Guards Officers Large Pattern Gilt Button, Kings Crown - Jennens

Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked Jennens & Co, London. Gilt mainly present but some tarnishing (looks worse in the photos). As worn from 1902. An early button as Jennens only made buttons between 1832 and 1912, and were later acquired by Gaunt in 1924.
