1st/7th Gurkha Rifles - Dashera Invitation Card to Headcutting of Buffaloes and Goats Sacrificial Ceremony, 1949

A scarce and revealing invitation for those who were unaware of this Gurkha custom, a bit gruesome, but tradition is tradition! Subedar Major Rukman Limbu was awarded the MBE in 1954. A copy of his recommendation for this Honour will be included with the card. The card is in good condition for age and not something you come across every day!

Scottish Aberdeen University Officer Training Corps OTC Glengarry Cap Badge, 2nd Pattern

A large and impressively aggressive looking badge, thickly die struck in white metal with two original loops to the reverse. In very good condition. Pre anodised era. Would have been worn with Gordon tartan flash badge backing. Sealed 1951.

The first pattern shoulder title, with two original hexagonal loops to the reverse. Changed to 'Conn. Rangers' in 1914. Some verdigris to loops otherwise in very good condition and scarce.

WW1 The Royal Scots Other Ranks Brass Economy Cap Badge

In good condition, correct gap between the top of the head and oval rim, nicely shaped badge with two original long loops (slight twisting) to the reverse (with splayed foot at base as found on Tiptaft made Scottish and Canadian badges). Royal Berkshire Regiment White Metal Badge Pin Brooch - Victorian Regimental Police Arm Badge?

Circa 4.5cms in diameter, of two part construction in die struck white metal with original pin and c clasp fitting to the reverse. In very good condition with sharp detail.
