WW1 Allied Victory Medal, British Issue - 1st Battalion / 10th Gurkha Rifles - Rai
Medal looks to have been skimmed and renamed, but what remains looks original impressed lettering but heavily polished including the regimental number has been polished away, looks like 5888 but cannot be certain. The rest is legible and is "....RFMN. Garbuit Rai, 1/10 G.R." Short length of original ribbon in as found condition. A very poor example numismatically but a scarce medal name to a... read more

Indian Army issue, offically impressed on rim, as follows:
"108514 Rfn. Ramchandraman Rai, 10. G.R."
Some heavy marks around end of first name on rim, possibly a correction, otherwise in GVF condition.
Attractive name plate to accompany the medal.

10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles White Metal Kilmarnock & Felt Hat Cap Badge
In very good condition, with original slider. This was the pattern authorised for wear from 1955 - 1994. Nicely voided especially around the Princess Mary cypher.

A black faux leather black plastic belt with silver plated fittings complete with pouch. Some marks to exterior of pouch and some rubbing damage to leather on inside of pouch lid but not visible from the outside. 2nd King Edward VIIs Own Gurkha Rifles Regiment Regimental Flash Designation For Wear on the Gurkha Hat
Worn circa 1900 - 1944, and again by all ranks from 1946 - 1961 on the Gurkha hat. Worn in opposite ways by the 1st and 2nd battalions. The 1st Battalion wore the flash vertically with two black squares to the front (as per 1st photo). The 2nd Battalion wore it with two red squares to the front (as per 2nd photo). Each square is circa 12mm tall and 15mm wide.

An early example, a die cast example in blackened brass with most of black finish worn away, but an attractive finish nonetheless. Original slider. This pattern as worn from 1911 - 1992, with a scarlet cloth backing (now absent). Circa 39mm tall and 40mm wide.
