Theatre made, stitched onto a card stiffener and with a plasticised red backing with the word "Mata" written on reverse (presumably the name of the owner). In very good condition. Not sure who would have worn this but it came with a large Gurkha collection. Any information weclome.

As worn by all ranks from 1925 - 1951. In very good condition with two original loops to the reverse. This looks of superior quality so perhaps an officer issue. Circa 12mm tall and 27mm wide. This particular size configuration not listed in the museum publication.

WW2 - 1GR Woven Shoulder Title - 1st Gurkha Rifles
"1.G.R " in black embroidery on light khaki cloth sewn to an olive green backing. The publication below confirms on page 42 that all examples known have no full stop after the "R" as with this one. Worn by all ranks in WW2. Some glue to traces to reverse otherwise in very good worn condition.

Silver bullion thread on lincoln green felt circular disk, circa 4.5cms in diameter, with a black hessian backing (seom glue to reverse of this). In very good condition with some age to it. Came with a large Gurkha Rifles collection.
