A good scarce silver plated cast example. Within a crowned oak wreath, a Maltese cross with ball finials to the tips and lions between the angles. The the centre, within a circlet "Gurkhas", "9" on a seeded ground. Four screw posts to the reverse, complete with backing plate, but with only one original fastening nut remaining. 2nd King Edward VII’s Own Gurkha Rifles (The Sirmoor Rifles) Large Pattern Button
Circa 26mm in diameter, black composition button, fixed shank. It has the design of the King’s cypher ERI beneath an imperial crown with crossed kukris beneath. There is no back mark. In very good condition. Worn by all ranks circa 1972 until June 1994.

5th RGR Royal Gurkha Rifles (Frontier Force) All Ranks Blackened Brass Shoulder Title
As worn by all ranks of the Regiment between 1924 and 1950. One of a number of patterns, this one matching 5GR F17G (see below). Circa 23mm tall and 21mm wide. Two original loops. Some service wear to black finish otherwise in good condition.

6th Gurkha ( Queen Elizabeths Own ) Rifles Set of two Unmarked Silver Mufti Blazer Buttons (QEII crowns)
Each battalion of Gurkhas somewhat uniquely in the British Army had its own silversmith. These buttons were made by the regimental silver smith of the 6th Gurkha Rifles. They are flat, cast in unmarked silver and each has a silver shank. The larger of the two is circa 18.5mm in diameter and the smaller 12mm in diameter.
