A matching pair / set in very good condition with no damage, holes or rust.

Chains like these are / were worn by British Army Cavalry and Yeomanry regiments on No 1 Full Dress tunics and are a sartorial remnant of far older days when chain mail or other metal forms were worn for protection in battle against sword cuts etc.

14th (Kings) Hussars Other Ranks Brass Cap Badge (2nd Type)

Introduced in 1915, this large pattern badge was unpopular and known rather disparagingly in the Regiment as the 'Cartwheel' badge. Found in various sizes, both voided and unvoided. This one is unvoided and in good condition with its original slider. Circa 4.3cms tall.

The Regiment were amalgamated in 1922 with the 20th Hussars.

A scarce item still on its leather backing, with white metal XVIIIH on brass circlet. In very good condition for age. Circa 6cms in diameter. Slight tear to leather to reverse, but it is still in very good condition.

12th and 9th/12th Royal Lancers (Prince of Wales's Own) Lancers Armoured Car crewman / 1st Class Tradesmans Armoured Car Brass Arm Badge - No 2 Dress

A Rolls Royce Armoured Car in brass metal with the correct and original black felt backing, circa 5.5cm wide and 2.8cm tall excluding the backing cloth. In good condition with original loops and retaining cotter pin. Felt has some slight edge wear / light moth grazing.

Worn by all ranks of the 12th Lancers up to WOII, and later by 9th/12th Lancers.
