Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Bi-Metal Cap Badge (converted to lugs)
Die cast two part badge. Slider neatly removed and not so neatly replaced with two lugs, possibly for wear as a NCOs arm badge.. A heavy badge with a sense of real quality to it with slight polishing to the highpoints on eagle's breast.
Formed in 1971 by amalgamation of the 3rd Carabiniers and Royal Scots Greys.

4th / 7th Dragoon Guards Officers Silver Plated Forage Cap Badge
A quality two part construction die cast example which is stamped "P" silver plated to the reverse. Two long copper silver plated loops to the reverse, but most of the plate has worn off the loops. Some scratching to the reverse and retaining wire could have been a better replacement, otherwise in very good condition. Circa 4.4cm square.

Two orginal loops to the reverse in good condition. Circa 4.1cm wide and 1cm tall. This smaller pattern was introduced in 1950, becoming gold anodised in 1960. Quite short-lived.
