Edwardian Fifth 5th (Royal Irish) Lancers Other Ranks Full Dress Czapka Helmet Plate
An Edwardian pattern die struck brass lance-cap plate for The 5th (Royal Irish) Lancers with two screw fastenings (east and west) and washers and retaining nuts (the latter possibly replacements). Sharp detail, and in unissued condition, but very slight twist to top ray.

The Household Battalion - WW1 War Raised Unit - Reservists from The Household Cavalry, c.1916 - 1918
An original large oval badge with a bronzed finish but unusually this is fitted with a C clasp and pin and there is no sign of a slider having ever being fitted. Circa 5.7cm tall. Not aware of this unit wearing a pagri so either it is for this or unissued stock converted for wear as a sweetheart brooch. Any information welcome.

T which sat above the Y has been neatly removed, with two original loops to the reverse. Common practice in WW1 to modify or remove the T. In very good condition. As worn on Service Dress.

A large title with two original tombstone style fixings, theatre made. This variety not encountered before and not shown in Westlake. Circa 3.5cms tall and 3.1cms wide. Possibly worn in South African / Boer War in the slouch hat as it has a 'cut from sheet brass' look to it. Rare.
