SIH South Irish Horse (Yeomanry) Brass Shoulder Title
Not illustrated in Westlake, but mentioned on p17. Most probably worn 1908 until disbandment in 1922. In very good condition with two original loops to the reverse. Rare.
Raised in March 1900 as South Irish Horse. Renamed in 1902 as the South of Ireland Yeomanry. Reverted back to the South Irish Horse in 1908. Disbanded in 1922.

5th Dragoon Guards Officers Bi Metal Pouch Badge
A stunning example in silver plate and gilt with four dark toned loops to the reverse. Langridge (1959) confirms that the 5th Dragoon Guards was one of the few cavalry regiments for whom other rank pouch badges where approved. He does not mention the rules relating to officers. This is in unissued condition. It is possible this pattern, even though with a QVC crown was worn until the 1950s.... read more

Cavalry / Yeomanry Matched Pair of Metal Shoulder Chains
A matching pair / set in very good condition with no damage, holes or rust.
Chains like these are / were worn by British Army Cavalry and Yeomanry regiments on No 1 Full Dress tunics and are a sartorial remnant of far older days when chain mail or other metal forms were worn for protection in battle against sword cuts etc.

An early large size other ranks die struck white metal collar badge with two original loops (e-w) to the reverse (some bending to these). A skull upon a pair of crossed bones bearing the motto scroll "Or Glory". Circa 3.1cm tall and 4.1cms wide. In good condition.
