I have put this numeral above a separate early 'DG' title in the final photo for comparative purposes. The DG is listed elsewhere for sale (See Item 67505). They look like a correct match.

Superb quality officers field service cap bullion wire embroidered cap badge as worn on the left side of the cap. A nicely padded badge has the " MYC " monogram on a black velvet ground to the centre of an oval bearing the motto and surmounted by a Queen's crown. Scarce.

A magnificent Officers shoulder belt plate and pouch with king's crown badge to pouch, indicating the period 1902 - 1908. Tan leather with gilt fittings, in near mint condition. Odd mark to leather, but nothing to worry about. The belt is complete with a fire gilt lion-head boss and two-strand gilt chain connected to the gilt whistle and holder.
