A WW1 era large and well cast white metal badge with original and stout pin fixing to the reverse. Circa 8.2cm tall and 6.5cm wide. Kings crown with the classic Punjabi Chinthe design to the centre. In very good condition.

Indian Army - Scarce Officer's Pagri Headdress Badge Kolar Gold Fields Battalion, AFI Indian Army, pre 1947
A scarce solid cast officer's style construction pagri badge with a gilt finish with original pin fixings and pin, which are fully functional. The badge is a crossed pickaxe and hammer in circle superscribed "Kolar Gold Fields Bn", all surmounted by a crown (Cox's book p2723 refers). Some wear to gilt finish but overall in very good condition. Circa 4.8cm tall.

WW1 Indian Army - 62nd Punjabis Officers Hallmarked Silver Facing Collar Badges
A very attractive facing pair of heavy quality hallmarked silver collar badges, not quite an exact match, but a good match and both having hallmarks for WW1. Two original silver lugs to the reverse of each and both maker marked J&Co (Jennens). Each is circa 3.2cm wide and 2.2cm tall. Birmingham assaye date letters Q and U for 1915 and 1919 respectively. A dental branch of the Indian Medical Corps was formed in 1940. In March 1943, this took on its own identity as the Indian Army Dental Corps. This was badge would therefore have only been worn between 1943 and 1947. Scarce.
