An early silver plated officer 's shako plate of the 1st Derby Militia. Circa 10.5cm tall and 8.6cm wide. With two original loops to the reverse and of two part construction (retaining pins replaced with a length of copper wire). In good condition with minor signs of service wear. This size and pattern of plate was worn from 1855 - 1861.

A scarce brass cap badge for this territorial regiment as worn from 1908 to 1922. In good condition with some slight polishing to the highpoints with original slider maker marked " F. E. Woodward Bham " (correct naming style). The tail does not have the distinctive arrow-head tail, but the hint of one, either this pattern did not have one or it has sadly been broken off. A two construction brass grenade with two original loops to the reverse with HAC superimposed in white metal on the ball of the grenade as worn by Warrant Officers and Sergeants of the Infantry Battalion until 1954, when the colours were reversed. Scarce.
