The 27th St Giles and St George's Bloomsbury or GGB became the 19th Bloomsbury's in 1880 and was in 1908 amalgamated with the 1st Victoria Rifle Corps to be come the 9th London Regiment.

A lovely example as worn by the 1st Hallamshire VB between 1897 - 1908 (type 1 without the scroll added). See Ivan Machin "A Guide to the badges of the York & Lancaster Regiment 1822 - 1968" Figure 78. With two dark toned lugs and braising holes behind both the brass rose and brass coronet, the rest of the badge in white metal. In very good condition.

Silver / gold coloured slider marked JR Gaunt Birmingham. In very good condition. It was renamed the 3rd Carabiniers in 1928 and amalgamated with the Royal Scots Greys, forming the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in 1971, so the naming on the slider is correct for the period.
