As worn from 1893 - 1902, QVC crown, normally found blackened but this one in its original un-blackened state with a QVC crown that has been neatly re-attached. three original loops to the reverse and correct red felt backing. Condition reflected in price.

A fairly large badge at circa 4.7cms across, with original slider and some service wear to the black finish, giving it an attractive patina. "South Africa" and "1900 - 1902" to the arms of the cross. In very good condition.

A good worn example with scroll "South Africa 1900 - 02" below, two original loops and three sweat/ braising/ expansion holes to the reverse. Blank seeded tablet below the sphinx. The white metal overlays appear to have been silver plated. Most probably an officer's cap badge. A cracker!
