A die struck cap / collar badge coronet bent to shape of cap. Great if you have a large brodrick grenade cap badge looking for a coronet. It looks to be an early pattern of manufacture with two original dark toned loops to the reverse (bent inwards). Circa 3.4cm wide and 1.9cm tall.

in 1908 the South Wales Borderers were allocated a single Territorial Battalion, the Brecknockshire Battalion.

Scarce Victorian Buffs ( Royal East Kent Regiment ) Bi Metal Facing Pair of Collar Badges, worn 1882 - 1896 only

Issued in 1882, the white horse facing left over a brass scroll Invicta, replacing the dragon collar badge and then being replaced once again by the dragon collar badge in 1894. A closely matching facing pair with original dark toned lugs to the reverse of each. In good condition but with some wear to the lugs. A confusing and unexpected change in regimental motif. Scarce.

Die struck brass collar with two original lugs to the reverse. In very condition and with a pattern of coronet or crown unique to the 19th Regiment (as opposed to the flatter and wider crown worn by other infantry regiments pre 1878 - see my item 60673). Circa 2.2cm wide and 1.7cm tall. Scarce.

In 1881 the 19th Foot became the Green Howards ( Yorkshire Regiment).
