WW1 Royal Naval Division ( RND ) Howe Battalion Silver hallmarked Sweetheart Pin Brooch Badge
An extremely fine hollow silver example, highlights enhanced with gold plate, the reverse bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1916 (capital letter r) and maker's details "R.J.W". Very good condition. With no dents or distortion. It is better than my photos, as the gold seems to blend into the silver colour, especially to the reverse. Circa 4.7cm wide.

WW1 Coldstream Guards Officers Silver and Enamel Forage Cap Badge Star Converted to a Sweetheart Brooch - 1917 dated
It is difficult to age these stars other than by hallmarks or look and feel but here we have one which confirms it is an early issue given it is engraved 1917 to the reverse. The loops have been professionally removed and replaced with a pin and clasp, which is fully functional. The engraving to the reverse in a small flowing script reads "From Tom to Hannah, Xmas 1917".

Royal Scots Greys Silver Hallmarked and Enamel Medallion / Pendent / Watch Fob
An intriguing piece with a super quality miniature Scots Greys Cap Badge in silver with enamels above a red enamel heart containing a hand reaching towards a kneeling figure atop of a cliff. Initially I thought this was masonic, but then concluded it was more about duty and love of country, so most likely a patriotic reference. Any information welcome. To the reverse are the maker's details... read more
