Canadian - Boer War Old Comrades Veterans Association Quebec Enamel Pin Badge Brooch - Dated 1900

Very unusual king's crown gilt and enamel lapel badge with brooch pin fitting and makers details for Richard Hemsley Ltd. to the reverse. An antelope's head and the date scroll, "1900" on a ground of white enamel to the centre of a blue enamelled strap bearing, " South African War Veterans Association" above the furled scroll, " Province of Quebec". I have noted 1936 dated examples before and some without a crown (given its Quebec!) but never seen a 1900 dated example before. Original pin fittings. Rare.
