Georgian Napoleonic Royal Regiment of Artillery Officer's Tunic Coatee Button
This button displays the Ordnance arms. Circa 24mm in diameter, it is flat and retains its original fixed shank but this is bent flat and damaged. Gilt finish and detail is very worn, possibly excavated, but in reasonable condition despite this. This was the second pattern button worn circa 1790 until 1802. Other ranks wore the same design as officer's but in pewter. Sold as seen. No returns on this item. Scarce.
Parkyn Fig 54 refers.
