Victorian QVC 1st Battalion Manchester Regiment Sweetheart Pin Brooch - Hallmarked Silver

An attractive Victorian sweetheart brooch pin to the 1st Battalion, The Manchester Regiment (formerly 63rd Regiment of Foot, pre 1881). The obverse features ornate silver detailing, a central fleur-de-lis flanked by a scroll bearing the words Manchester Regiment, a QVC flat pattern crown above, and the Roman numeral "LXIII" below. To the reverse is a fully functional and original C clasp and pin fitting and inserted behind a glazed frame is an original photo portrait bust of an unidentified soldier. Maker marked CH & Co and with Birmingham assay hallmarks with letter 'T'. In very good condition for age and unusual.
